ACWADAM has evolved with the vision of achieving a fruitful integration between the scientific principles of Hydrogeology & Hydrology and their actual field applications, for systematic water resources development and management (especially in the groundwater resources sector).

Registered as a non-profit organization, ACWADAM has embarked upon endeavouring to become a premier Education & Research Center that will cater to action oriented research aimed at finding solutions to water problems of today and tomorrow.

 

Our goal is to help achieve sustainable management of water resources, particularly groundwater. We are pursuing this goal by integrating principles of water sciences like hydrology and hydrogeology with the practices of water harvesting, water conservation and water use.

ACWADAM is currently facilitating work on groundwater management in about 20 odd locations across the country. This facilitation is through action research programmes, training inputs and collaborative efforts involving both training and research. The focus in this work is on setting up simple monitoring networks for groundwater, understanding groundwater characteristics and developing strategies for managing groundwater resources.
